Thinking of a new or even an add-on (to your Prodigy) control system for your layout?
Gaugemaster have developed two systems under their Infinity umbrella. Please read on to learn a little more about each option or pop into Simon’s Trains to see their Digital version in operation. Our prices are also a minimum 15% off the RRP!
Infinity Analogue, is a wireless system that controls analogue layouts and accessories.
Infinity Digital, is a DCC wireless controller designed for full digital locomotive and accessory control. While the handsets look similar, each system is tailored to its specific control method.
Both systems are designed around dedicated wireless handsets, providing a more tactile and reliable control experience without the need for smartphones or tablets.
The Bluetooth connection is rated up to 50 metres. With a clear line of sight, this range can sometimes be extended further
Infinity Analogue can control up to ten independent track sections using expansion modules. Starting with a base system such as Infinity Solo or Infinity Duo, additional sections can be added as your layout grows.
Infinity Analogue is designed for traditional analogue layouts. It provides modern wireless control without requiring a full DCC system, making it ideal for modellers who prefer analogue operation.
The system is fully expandable using dedicated Infinity Analogue expansion modules, allowing you to increase the number of controlled track sections and grow your layout over time.
Additional handsets can be added to control multiple sections or allow multiple operators to run the layout at the same time, depending on your system configuration.
Infinity Digital is wireless as standard; this feature is not an added extra. It is capable of doing everything you would expect plus additional features you will love. One feature that truly redefines digital control is the Multiple Working Consist function. which makes double-heading trains easier to set up and operate.
This system is fully NMRA compatible, supporting 68 light and sound functions, fully customisable buttons as toggle or momentary actions, and a stored library of up to 100 locomotives and 100 accessories.
Additional innovations include the Yard/Drive mode and Animation Sequence, Scale Clock/Speed display as well as an optional Locomotive Fuel Tank simulation.
Infinity Digital has a 3.5 amp power supply, which is suitable for most N, TT, HO and OO layouts. For those needing more power, the Infinity Digital Plus (GMI-D02), offers a higher-powered option, while Infinity Digital G, is designed for G Scale layouts.
You can also plug other digital systems, such as the Prodigy DCC system, into the unit’s sniffer port. Infinity Instructions & Manuals will guide you on how to safely do this.
